WE TRAIN CREATIVE PERFORMERS
We are excited to announce WSSR Dance+Theater— and we want you to be a part of it!
WSSR Dance+Theater teaches dancers and actors not to just “copy” a performance— but to tap into their own unique magic that opens an audience’s spirit.
Our students are a part of the creative process. They are challenged to:
Take artistic risks
Expand their comfort zone
Express their individuality
Participate in our professional-level productions
WSSR Dance+Theater is a learning theater— a place where teachers model curiosity, discipline, and life-long learning. We welcome serious students of all ages, body-types, and abilities to join us.
We are a family of artists learning and creating together!
“Students will receive high-quality multi-disciplinary training in a space that fosters respect, support, and collaboration— with a pathway to professional performance. ”
WHAT IS WSSR DANCE+THEATER?
At WSSR, we are envisioning an evolution of performing arts eduction.
We see a future where performing artists express themselves outside the boundaries of the traditional forms: Acting, Dancing, Singing— or Ballet, Modern, Tap.
Future artists will need the ability to explore, reference, adapt, and blend those traditions with the new: Hip Hop, Spoken Word, TikTok Skits, Beat Box, Virtual Reality Performance, Digital Puppetry— and ways of expression that we can’t even imagine!
“WSSR Dance+Theater enhances a student’s mastery of the traditional by encouraging them to cross the boundaries, to deepen their interests and abilities— and through that process become creative performers. ”
