ASST STAGE MANAGER

WSSR is hiring Assistant Stage Managers.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Stage Manager to support the Stage Manager and ensure the efficient operation of rehearsals and performances. The ASM will assist the production team, ensuring every aspect of the show runs smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the Stage Manager in all aspects of rehearsals and performances.

  2. Help document detailed blocking, props tracking, and other key details as directed by the Stage Manager.

  3. Ensure all props, set pieces, and costumes are in their proper places before and during performances.

  4. Provide support during rehearsals, taking notes, and running errands as necessary.

  5. Assist with communication between the director, cast, and crew, ensuring messages are conveyed accurately.

  6. Stand in for the Stage Manager when needed, ensuring continuity in their absence.

  7. Help maintain a clean, safe and efficient workspace.

  8. Assist with the setup and breakdown of rehearsal and performance spaces.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Previous experience as an Assistant Stage Manager or in a similar backstage role is beneficial.

  2. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  3. Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.

  4. Familiarity with theatrical terminologies and processes.

  5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

PAY: $300 stipend/show
