A family road trip takes an unexpected turn when, in the dark of night, on the plains of eastern Oregon, reality splits.

NOTE: the entire play takes place in a car. Basically. You’ll see.

AUDITION INFORMATION

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS: One short monologue is encouraged. We can also provide you with material to read. You may be asked to improvise.

We are seeking actors of all genders and ethnicities:

MOM (40s-50s, will consider actors age 20-60)

DAD (40s-50s, will consider actors age 20-60)

ROB (Teenager, will consider actors age 13-35)

TUCKER (Teenager, will consider actors age 13-35)

LIZZIE (Teenager, will consider actors age 13-35)


CONTENT DISCLOSURE

  • Profanity


GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Incidental touching/physical closeness inside a car

  • Scenes with bright LED Lights, full blackout, and loud sound cues

  • Active movement and physicality

  • Lifting/Pushing set pieces

  • Fight Choreography

  • Eating/Drinking on stage

A Fight Choreographer and Intimacy Coordinator will be hired for this production.


ROLE REQUIREMENTS

MOM

  • Casual singing (untrained voice okay)

  • Plays (or convincingly mimes) ukulele or guitar

DAD

  • Onstage emotional expression (crying)

ROB

  • Wears makeup (including eyeliner)

  • Onstage emotional expression (crying)

TUCKER

  • Speaks about gore/gruesome subjects

  • Onstage emotional expression (crying)

LIZZIE

  • Casual singing (untrained voice okay)

  • Brief crawling over another actor
