HOUSE MANAGER

WSSR is hiring a House Manager for our 2023-24 season.

OVERVIEW

We're in search of a dependable House Manager to oversee audience experience during our events. This role entails ensuring a safe, comfortable, and efficient environment for our patrons from entrance to exit along with managing our bar.

  • Vampire Lesbians of Sodom | Dec 27, 2023 - Jan 13, 2024

  • Rockford New Words | Feb 2 - 4, 2024

  • Dead Man’s Cell Phone | Mar 1 - 23, 2024

  • The Irish Curse | APR 26 - MAY 18, 2024

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate and supervise front-of-house staff, including ushers and ticket takers

  2. Manage and oversee audience seating.

  3. Handle any patron concerns or issues, providing prompt resolutions.

  4. Coordinate with the Box Office Manager for ticketing matters and special accommodations.

  5. Coordinate with the Stage Manager on show start.

  6. Ensure safety protocols are followed, and lead evacuation procedures if necessary.

  7. Conduct pre-event checks of public areas, restrooms, and emergency exits. Spot clean if needed.

  8. Manage bar, concessions, and merchandise sales on performance nights.

  9. Submit box office report after each event.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Previous experience with front of house is preferred but not required.

  2. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  3. Ability to handle challenging situations with diplomacy and tact.

  4. Knowledge of safety procedures and basic first aid.

  5. Ability to work evenings and weekends, aligned with event schedules.

PAY: $1000 stipend/season
