PROPS MANAGER

WSSR is hiring Props Coordinators for our 2023-24 season.

OVERVIEW

We're seeking a Props Manager to supervise the creation, acquisition, and organization of rehearsal and performance props for our theatrical production. You may also be called upon to help dress the set.

  • Vampire Lesbians of Sodom | Dec 27, 2023 - Jan 13, 2024

  • Rockford New Words | Feb 2 - 4, 2024

  • Dead Man’s Cell Phone | Mar 1 - 23, 2024

  • The Irish Curse | APR 26 - MAY 18, 2024

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborate with the director and designers to understand prop requirements.

  2. Source, purchase, or construct required props.

  3. Organize and maintain an inventory of props.

  4. Coordinate with the stage manager for prop placement and movement during performances.

  5. Attend strike and oversee the maintenance and storage of props post-production.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Previous experience in props management is a plus

  2. Knowledge of theater processes and crafting or prop construction techniques.

  3. Organizational skills and attention to detail.

  4. Ability to work well in a team environment.

  5. Problem-solving skills and adaptability.

PAY: $200 stipend/show
