VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

WSSR is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator for our 2023-24 season.

OVERVIEW

We're seeking an organized and personable Volunteer Coordinator to oversee volunteer activities in our theater productions. This role focuses on recruiting, training, managing and scheduling our volunteers to assist with sets, costumes, props, front of house, events, fundraising, and special projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Recruit, interview, and place volunteers in roles suited to their skills and interests.

  2. Coordinate and provide training sessions for volunteers.

  3. Create and manage a volunteer schedule, ensuring adequate coverage for all activities.

  4. Address any concerns or issues that volunteers may have.

  5. Maintain records of volunteer hours and contributions.

  6. Acknowledge and show appreciation for the contributions of volunteers.

  7. Assess volunteer needs and provide feedback for organizational improvement.

  8. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive event/program operation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Previous experience in volunteer coordination or management is a plus.

  2. Strong organizational and communication skills.

  3. Ability to work well with diverse groups of people.

  4. Problem-solving abilities and adaptability.

  5. Familiarity Google Workspace, spreadsheets, and databases is a plus.

PAY: $1000 stipend/season
